Assurance Update During the Covid-19 Pandemic

To provide you the very best care and protection, we monitor closely the information from the UK government, the NHS, the General Chiropractic Council, the British Chiropractic Association, and the Royal College of Chiropractors. 

Chiropractors of Blackpool New Procedures:

  • Text or telephone Covid-19 screenings will occur 24 hours prior to your appointment
  • We will offer handwashing and/or anti-bacterial hand gel upon arrival
  • We will be maintaining the highest hygiene standards throughout the clinic
  • All practitioners will wear personal protective equipment (PPE) consistent with government advice, regularly wash their hands and monitor/protect their own, and their household’s health.
  • Social distancing rules must be maintained in the reception area and in the treatment room while the chiropractor does not have PPE on
  • All gowns and towels have been removed from clinic. Please wear appropriate clothing for treatment.
  • We will be diligently disinfecting all contact points in the treatment room between each patient.
  • As a patient you must monitor/protect their own, and their household’s health before making the decision to enter the clinic
    • Check if you have Covid-19/Coronavirus symptoms. The most common symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) are recent onset of any of the following:
      • a new continuous cough
      • a high temperature
      • a loss of, or change in, your normal sense of taste or smell (anosmia)
    • If you have symptoms, please do not attend the clinic. Follow the stay at home guidance provided by Public Health England: https://bit.ly/2LSBbog
  • As a patients you may wish to attend wearing a mask
  • We will be operating a clear one way system in the clinic to minimise the risk of coming into contact with another patient.
  • We also ask that you attend your appointments on time and alone, should you arrive early please wait in your car until your appointment, should you have walked, or otherwise, to the clinic please practice social distancing while waiting for your appointment.
  • We will not be accepting cash during this time. You may pre-pay for your visit via BACS, the card machine will still be available to use in clinic but we ask that you pay via contactless payment if you are able. After payment, you will be asked to leave as soon as possible to minimise your time spent in the clinic.
  • Sports massage and sports rehabilitation clinics are currently unavailable and we will re-open these again in the future when BASRaT says it’s safe to do so.
  • Our ‘at risk’ patients (pregnant, over 70, health condition, weakened immune system) are urged not to attend the clinic and to only seek telephone advice from us. If you do require face to face care, we will make special arrangements for you to have minimal possible contact and exposure.
  • While we are taking every precaution to limit your exposure to Covid-19, we cannot guarantee that there is no risk as a result of attending our clinic for treatment. We will request and record your verbal consent in your treatment notes.

Opening Hours and Appointments:

  • On the evening of March 23rd 2020, we took the decision to temporarily close Chiropractors of Blackpool.
  • Face- to-face appointments for all cases, including routine appointments, resumed on the 15th June 2020
  • Our opening hours resumed ‘as normal’ on the 15th of June

  • We are offering remote FREE telephone consultations for new or returning patients
  • Our Sports Rehabilitator is offering one-to-one video consultations and rehabilitation sessions should you feel you need more support from the comfort of your own home at the price of £15 per hour session.
